Right after Dr. Bonny’s announcement I contacted Kevin at Shenanigan’s. Kevin and I have confirmed we are set for July 22nd 7:00pm to 9:00pm. It will be in the Cul-de-Sac between Ann’s and my place. Units 102 and 104.
Bring your lawn chairs and cold drinks.
An honorarium1 $5.00 or more per person is requested. This band has performed here in the past for no charge and it is more than fair to ask us to all chip in and give something to this awesome band. Also support the band by buying their CD.

We really need this to unwind and get our lives back to normal. We have been cooped up too long and need to unwind and let our hair down.
Covid-19
We’re moving into Step 3 of BC’s Restart starting July 1st. We are at 78% vaccinated for the eligible population (12+) and 69% for the general population and BC is way ahead with the second vaccination.
Personal Gatherings for Step 3
- Indoor organized gatherings 50 people or 50% capacity, whichever is greater
- Outdoor organized gatherings 5,000 people or 50% capacity, whichever is greater
- No capacity limits or restrictions on religious gatherings and worship services
- Fairs, festivals and trade shows return to normal with a Communicable Disease Plan

By then we should be in really good shape pandemic-wise. We are near herd immunity and most, if not all, of us will have had our 2nd vaccination shot in this park.
A Draw this Summer
Gus was wondering if we could do a draw again this year at some time after things open up. He has salmon to give away and 4 packages of “Indian Candy”.
Let me know what you think in the “Update Park Info” section. That section should be changed to a “leave a comment section”. I will pass it along to those on the Committee who need to know.
The AGM
We are way overdue for an AGM meeting and those on the Committee have hung in there much longer than they are obligated to and it’s time for new people to take up those positions. They are tired and want to go.
I have been looking into where we can hold our AGM and this is what I’ve found out. The usual place we hold it is under renovations until at least the 15th of July. The band office hasn’t had a meeting to discuss renting out the gym as of yet. They may hold a meeting in a couple of weeks to make a decision. I would prefer the band gym as they are cheaper, but on the downside some people might think it’s too far to drive.
The bottom line is we won’t know anything until at least the 15th of July and it also hinges on what restrictions are still in place. We will have a better picture on July 1st. So everyone hang tight until I know more. I will let you know as I usually do.
I may as well manage looking after booking the AGM as I am probably going to be the next Chairperson.
We are going to need all positions filled at the next AGM so I would like to know who is a candidate for the positions of Vice-Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. If there is no candidate for Treasurer I can do both rolls as I have experience using QuickBooks for the business’s I owned. QuickBooks is easy-peazy and will only take 5 minutes a week for such a simple little account. I am NOT running for Treasurer. It’s only as a last resort if no one wants it.

I checked out Friendship Community Church and it’s only $50.00 to rent out, BUT they want liability insurance which is $160.00 on top of that. I know for a fact that we don’t have enough money left in the Committee’s accounts to cover that. Also, they are renovating and we wouldn’t be able to hold a meeting until that is done.
We can’t really do anything until July 1st when Dr. Bonny gives us an update.
We still have a couple of options. We could use the band gym or the Bible Fellowship. I will check with them again after July 1st.The Bible Fellowship is also renovating. Seems like everyone used the pandemic to renovate.
